Sally Kim, currently senior VP and Publisher of G.P. Putnam’s Sons, will join as the President and Publisher of Little, Brown and Company and Hachette Book Group’s executive management board, effective March 1, 2024. She will succeed Bruce Nichols, who has been senior VP and Publisher of Little, Brown since 2020.
The move marks David Shelley’s first major appointment since taking over as Hachette Book Group CEO at the start of 2024 following the announcement of “a new English-language management structure” at Hachette’s book business last year. “She is a brilliant editor as well as a publisher. I believe that Sally will be a visionary leader for Little, Brown and will help this most revered of publishing houses embark on an exciting new stage of its journey,” said Shelley.
