The children at Cheshire Home, Okhla had a splendid time when storytellers Seema Wahi Mukherjee and Archana Chandel visited them on 21st September, 2023. The session received an active participation from 20 children with special needs of a diverse range of 6 to 20 year olds. The duo engaged with the audience throughout their session by means of intonation, visual gestures, music accompanied by body movements such as waving of hands. Just when the energy of the audience had reached its peak, the storytellers put icing on the cake with a fun activity session they had planned.
Children were thrilled to make fish cut-outs straight from their imagination through the cutting and pasting of multi-coloured sheets.
The young audience found a common thread of solace in the stories and the characters portrayed by the storytellers, as some of them remarked at the end of the session. The session gave the children an opportunity exhibit their artworks and share about their interest in the world of stories and art.
