On 13^th August, we invited Tanu Shree Singh, author of The Letter To Lahore, for a storytelling session. She picked up small sections from her book to draw a difference between what used to be during the time of Independence and what is in the present day. The aim of her event was to make the young audience think about things they wouldn’t usually.

The event was an interactive session between the author and the young kids who were in awe of how things were like back in 1947. Words like “bukhari”, “Dak Chacha” were not a part of their usual vocabulary, which prompted them to understand their meanings and think about them. The highlight of the event was when Tanu Shree wrote down a list of such unusual words and the children in the audience weaved a story out of those. Every story was unique in its interpretation of ideas and offered a peak in the way children think and process information.
